From: Jay Wicke I have been to Seseganaga 4 times and will be returning in June of 2008. I go every other year just to keep the experience exciting. I have fished in good weather and bad weather, low water conditions and high water conditions and it really doesn’t seem to matter. The walleye fishing is always excellent. Like anywhere else, mornings and evenings are the best but you can catch them all day. The hospitality is second to none. Butch has put together and outstanding staff from top to bottom and their goal is to please. The fly-in alone is worth the cost of the trip. If you haven’t experienced a fly-in Canadian fishing trip I would HIGHLY recommend Seseganaga Lodge. I will continue going there and have no interest in going anywhere else. I don’t think there can be a better value out there. From Dave (in Cedar Falls, IA.) Hello Seseganaga I made my first trip to Seseganaga in the late seventies. My dad had created an interest for me to go and see what this Canada fishing was all about. Dad and his fishing crew usually took a train in from Savant Lake. They were dropped off on the river that flows north from the rip rap out of Seseganaga. An Indian by the name of Sam Anderson and his boys ran the camp and picked my Dad’s group up and boated down to the camp. Dad said that they had some pretty good fishing just on the ride down the river. After staying at an outpost cabin run by Rusty Myers way on the south end of the West Bay of Seseganaga, we decided to give the Seseganaga Lodge a try and have been going back every year. It is the high light of my summer. The fishing is always there, that is, the potential to catch nice walleyes is always there. Even since they put the “slot limit” in place in the early 90’s, we have caught more fish and bigger fish. My brother Denny and I are just content to catch walleyes and really don’t give the northerns too much consideration. But we do catch those guys in our walleye endeavors. Normally, we don’t encounter other groups while out on the lake which adds to the serenity of the experience. The lake itself is such that it is always safe to get to shore in a short amount of time if you need to. The shore lunch boxes sent with each group keep that activity pretty simple and the propane tanks and grill makes the cooking a snap. We have found the morning fishing is usually the most productive, but the lure and the challenge is to always be looking for a new spot that we haven’t fished before. After a comfortable evening meal, we enjoy going out for a couple of hours of “easy” fishing and kind of unwind a bit. We have been making the trip around the 3rd week of July. Weather wise, even in July, can be really cool or really warm, but fishing is always good. We’ve enjoyed introducing new guys to the lake and watched to see how pleased they are with everything. Before and after dinner, having conversations with guests who have been there many times is always a treat to share stories. On our first visit, Ed Shepard was the owner and now Butch and Tom own the place. The camp help and kitchen workers have always been very accommodating. Currently Mike and Marie are the camp managers and they are just top notch. Improvements in the camp have included the 4-stall shower/bathroom building and cold running water to the front 5 cabins. From: John Brusenhan To: Seseganagalodge@xplornet.com I had a great time during my stay. My best to Mike, Marie and the gang. From: Paul Russell We have been going to Seseganaga for approximately Paul Russell

From: Roman Paluta and Family 2006 The Paluta Family, from Ohio, Minnesota, Illinois (and California) We've been going to Seseganaga Lodge for eight years now. It's become a father/son tradition for our family. And one that we treasure. The lake is remarkable in its natural beauty. The service and hospitality, warm and attentive. And the fishing is simply outstanding. This past year we caught more walleye over twenty inches than ever before. And our northern pike this year were our largest yet. The fishing just seems to get better every year. This year we brought Kent, a cousin from California, who so thoroughly enjoyed himself, we're convinced he'll be back again sometime in the future. Thanks Butch - for convincing us eight years ago to start our Ses Lodge tradition. See you in 2007! The Paluta Family
